Parents and guardians of BHS Class of 2020 Students, as of May 4, 2020, Senior Prom is uncertain. If it proceeds on 5/28 as originally planned or the alternative date of 7/22, we will try to plan the Parent Sendoff Party (depending on venue availability and social distancing rules.) Please check back here in the future.  

The Sendoff Party historically includes a slideshow of the seniors from toddler age through high school. IF THE SENDOFF PARTY DOES NOT PROCEED, WE WILL TRY TO PREPARE A VIDEO OF THE SENIORS FOR FAMILY VIEWING (the time and date TBD.) Please submit photos of your seniors now, before May 18th!

We would like to have photos and short video clips (collectively, "Materials") of your senior so that we can include them in a slideshow/video (collectively, the "Video".)

If your student went to the John Glenn Middle School's Moving On event with this class when they were in 8th grade, then we already have lots of photos, but we would like to get pictures of your senior during high school. Submit a max of 3 pics. Also, if you have videos of any of the seniors singing in elementary, middle, or high school concerts, acting in plays, dancing, or playing sports, please share with us!

 

If your student did not grow up in Bedford or go to the JGMS Moving On event, then we really need your pictures. Hansom and other families who are newer to Bedford, we want to make sure your kids get equal air time in our display. Submit a max of 5 pics ranging from toddler through high school years. Please take some time to find cute and funny pictures of your senior - from toddler age to elementary, middle, and high school.  Please focus on pics just of your kiddo and/or with other Bedford seniors.  Photos in sports, competitions, Scouts, dance, and other activities are always good. 

 

 By submitting Materials, you consent,without any restriction, limitation, review, or compensation, to the inclusion and publication of the Materials in the Video in any media, as well as potentially in a DVD of the Video to be given to senior families. You also consent to the Video being shown on Bedford TV, on Facebook, and at the All Night Graduation Celebration and Commencement Ceremony. If you want your senior excluded from the Video or any publication, do not submit any Materials AND you must email bhsbucs2020@gmail.com to let us know.

Party for Senior Parents/Guardians: Night of Senior Prom 

6:30 - 9:30 pm

What is the Parents Sendoff Party? Historically, when seniors go off to their prom, whatever date it will be, the senior parents and guardians have their own party. If Prom proceeds and we can have the Party, you can register below for the Senior Parents Send-Off Party. You can pay later via the link below. The venue for the Parents Party is to be determined, based on the date of the prom and availability of the venue. In past years, the Parents Party has been held at Waxy's Bar + Kitchen, 94 Hartwell Ave, Lexington (near the Hanscom gate.)  

 

 

The goal is get have all parents/guardians of our graduating seniors come to the Party as one last big hurrah before our kids leave the nest. $35 per person will cover appetizers, buffet dinner, salad, desserts, music, decorations, photos/movie of the seniors, and tissues in case you get weepy or cry tears of joy. There will be a cash bar.

All attendees must pre-pay (headcount needed). There is no printed ticket. Instead paid registrants will be on a list at the venue door.

Upon completing your payment, you will be registered to attend. There will be a registration list at the check-in table at the Party. No actual tickets will be handed out.

The check-out system will take you to PayPal where you either may use a credit card or your own PayPal account to submit payment.

 

If you prefer to pay by check:  First, fill out the "RSVP" section (above) because we need the headcount. Next, promptly mail a check, payable to the BHSPA. In the check's memo line, write "Send-off Party" and your graduating senior(s) name(s). Send checks to the BHSPA at the BHS Front Office, 9 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730.
